About Course
A supervised school pathway with 11 lessons and an eight-question final assessment. Learners explore fictional library-loan records, create checked tables and charts, try a small Python analysis and prepare a decision brief.
Learning outcomes
- Frame a question and select only the data needed.
- Clean fictional records while preserving an original copy.
- Calculate counts, totals, mean and median.
- Select and label charts accurately.
- Check a simple Python script independently.
- Write a brief that distinguishes evidence from unsupported conclusions.
School delivery
Use a teacher-led cohort with suitable supervision. All practice data is fictional; exclude names, telephone numbers, personal borrowing histories and sensitive school records from learner projects. Keep learner work within the school’s approved environment. A facilitator reviews the local decision brief using the criteria in the final lesson.
Assessment
The final theory check requires 70%, allows three attempts and has a 20-minute limit. Learners retain their checked table or code, chart and brief for facilitator review.
Institutional enrolment will open after the school licence and cohort-access workflow is configured and verified. The separate Python for Kids entry course retains its existing access model.
